If you’re religious then you might have heard the phrase “your body is the temple of God”. Well guess what, in sports your body is your tool of trade and it’s what you use in performing.

It can only mean that you need to fuel your body just like you fuel your car. NO gas in your car, that car ain’t moving anywhere.

That’s why as an athlete you must be fueling your body the right way. LeBron James spends $1.5million on his body, which includes eating the rights foods and taking care of his body.

So, as an athlete you might have been thinking, Tola I don’t know the difference between carbs and protein and all that stuff. Plus I love my ice creams and pizza so what do I do?

Nutrition for athletes is one thing I also struggled with when I played sports as a young athlete. I never really thought my diet was that important. I just wanted to play. Then every time I played I would always get gassed and tired. My body couldn’t handle the rigours of performance.

My guest today on the Podcast is Lindsay Hazard, Lindsay is an Athlete Nutrition Expert and a Registered Dietician Nutritionist. If there’s anyone to teach you how to fuel your body so you can train and work out and play to your best, then she’s the person to help.

I love that Lindsay works with young athletes in highschool and college who in my opinion need expert advise the most.

This episode goes deep into the nutrition aspect of sports and i’m sure you’ll see improvements in your performance when you start fueling your body the right way.
