EPISODE SEVENTY SIX
“success is peace of mind attained only through self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you are capable” – John Wooden
The man they called COACH. John Wooden.
The man who is known more for his life lessons than for his basketball coaching.
He is the most successful coach in NCAA history. He won 10 straight National Championships. Surely the most important thing about him is his basketball knowledge, nah not coach. Coach is known for his pyramid of success. Success in life.
He coached his players to succeed in life which he believed inevitably meant success in basketball.
He believed in a creed and its that creed I want to share with you today.
Episode 76 takes through the creed step by step and how you can begin implementing it.
ACTION FOR TODAY
Number one on the creed is Be true to yourself.
So are you true to yourself? Be honest with yourself. Are you doing everything you know should be doing when you need to do it?
Are you taking days off and telling your friends how tough training was that day?
Be true to yourself.
That’s your action for today. Ensure you do what you should be doing and stop making excuses. You can lie to others but you can never lie to yourself, the results would always tell.
