EPISODE SEVENTY EIGHT
“the winner is the one who believes in the victory more” – Novak Djokovic
Who would have thought 6 years ago we would be talking about Djokovic being one of the greatest to ever play the game. 6 years ago Djokovic was nothing. Well not nothing but he was just another contender. The sport was being dominated by Federer and Nadal and Djokovic was lagging behind.
At this point he had won only one or two grand slam titles.
But something changed. He changed something.
He worked on his mind. He added Boris Becker to his team. Boris’s job was to get him thinking differently.
He achieved it.
How did he achieve it? He made Djokovic start believing he was the best. Yes Nadal and Federer were on top but were they really better than him. No they weren’t. At least so he thought.
That was were the change happened. His actions began to back his thoughts up.
It’s a truly inspiring story.
3 KEY LESSONS
- Believe you are the best
- Always look from the positive side
- Learn to fail first
Episode 78 is intuitive. If Djokovic could do it then you can do it too.
