“There is not a day that goes by that I feel like losing”
In a recent interview Serena did with Nike she talks about how she always felt like an underdog and how she always felt like she was fighting to make it as an athlete. It was never easy for her despite all the successes you see today.
She never thought she would be great but she developed a work ethic of an underdog.
At the end of the interview she says there are days she doesn’t feel like training but more importantly there is no day that goes by where she feels like losing.
Serena is a perfect example for you to follow no matter the stage of your career that you are, beginning, middle or end. She has had ups and downs, she has recovered from here set backs and she has also consolidated on her greatness.
This EPISODE 19 is packed full with examples of Serena I want you to follow. Forget the many fashion trends she has set and the many relationships she has been in and focus on the part of her life that can make a difference in yours.
ACTION FOR THE DAY
Of all the lessons you have learnt from Serena in this episode, I want to change the way you approach your training starting today. Work despite not knowing when the results would come. Change your orientation. Work even when you don’t know when your moment would come.
So the next time you train and you feel down remember to keep going and to keep on giving your best. You moment would surely come just like Serena but you have to be prepared for it.
I know you are.
