Think about the times you’ve made the most progress in your career. So whether that’s when you had the right coach or when thing were going well.
Now think about the times you haven’t made progress in your career.
One of the centre points of that progress would be fun.
What’s the link between improvement and fun?
You started playing your sport in the first place to have fun. With the introduction of pressure, things changed. It was no longer about fun but delivery.
The reason you improved or didn’t notice the improvement was because you were having fun. Until its no longer fun.
For every athlete there’s always been a time when they just didn’t want to train, not because they didn’t want to but the thought of the training gave them chills. It wasn’t going to be fun and they knew it.
On this fruitful Friday episode of the show I encourage you to make training fun so you can see improvements in your career.
Remember, knowing is not enough you must apply, willing is not enough you must do.
