When you see athletes like that, stand up and take notice.
One of those athletes was Dan Marino. You see Marino always had talent and as you already know talent is not a guarantee for success in sports.
He went to the University of Pittsburgh and in his time there, he set the NCAA record for career attempts, completions and touchdowns. In his first three years with the team he lost only three matches.
When he got drafted by the Maimi Dolphins in 1983 nobody thought that after only a year he would begin to turn heads. The season he had in 1984 is generally regarded as one of the best seasons a quarter back has ever had in the NFL history.
Although he never won the Super Bowl, the holy grail in the NFL, its his performances, like the one in 1984 that stood him out.
Before Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees came around (all guys we have looked at on this podcast), Marino held as many as 40 records in the NFL.
On this episode, I want you to learn some important lessons from his career. How was a guy who never won the Super Bowl, still regarded as one of the greatest quarter backs of all time.
Remember, knowing is not enough you must apply, willing is not enough you must do.
