This message is particularly for the student athletes. Sport is usually in stages. So you start out as an amateur then you proceed to being a junior before getting to the senior level.
Without proper guidance its easy to continue doing the things you did as an amateur or as a student athlete. So, the way your trained or the kinds of food you ate.
Marshall Goldsmith said “what got you here won’t get you there”
The point of the message is that you must always up level your training. Seeking for better ways to do things.
The thing that made you a stand out student athlete is not the same thing that would make you an outstanding professional. The reason for this is that each level of sports requires a different level of training.
On this episode of Athlete Maestro, I want to encourage you to have this at the back of your mind at all time as you journey in sports. It would always take something different for you to get to another level.
Remember, knowing is not enough you must apply, willing is not enough you must do.
