Failure is an inevitable in life and more especially in sports. How young athletes approach failure is a sign to the kind of success they would achieve in sports.
John C Maxwell said “your attitude towards failure determines your altitude after failure”
So as a young athlete, how should you approach failure? Well, take a cue from scientists.
You see, science continues to evolve because there is a constant battle to keep improving and keep learning from past errors. There’s always a new disease, or ailment or cause to fight, so the scientist has to keep searching and test for a cure.
The first step is the research, then the trials on animals followed by testing on humans. Depending on the result, it might require more research and more testing. They don’t say because they failed they give up on looking for a cure. No. What they do is to go back to the drawing board.
On this episode of Athlete Maestro, i motivate you change your approach towards failure and to think about it differently.
Remember, knowing is not enough you must apply, willing is not enough you must do.
