In sports you have the beginning of the season and the off season. Once the season is done attention turns to the next season but what should athletes focus on during the off season. In this episode i share 5 things athletes should do during the off season or summer break.
If you’re like most athletes you look forward to the off season where you can rest and recover. The off season should also be an opportunity to prepare for the new season. So, what are some of things you should be doing during the off season or summer periods?
In this episode of Athlete Maestro, I share 5 things athletes should do during the off season or summer periods.
And the first thing is assess how the previous season went. The best way to improve is to know where you’re coming from and the way to know this is to breakdown how the previous season went. What were the things that went well, what didn’t go well and how can you improve those areas.
Taking this first step you have the right platform with which the approach the off season. If you notice, this is usually the period coaches scout for new players based on how their season went. Its the same for you the athlete.
Don’t just go off and party and travel, take stock of how the just concluded season panned out. Thats the way you know how to approach the new season.
I share four more thing you should be doing in this episode which would help you prepare best for the new season and set you apart from your teammates. Listen in.
Remember, knowing is not enough you must apply, willing is not enough you must do.
