How good is your training as an athlete? How well do you train? You might be asking why is training important in sports?
Archilocus said “we don’t rise to the level of our expectation, we fall to the level of our training”
You see as young athletes we have been made to believe that when the moment comes we would deliver on demand or as you like to say it, you would rise to the expectation. Well, thats not always the case, in fact thats not the case at all. Your training is the foundation for any expectation you have in sports.
The better your training, the better the expectations you should have. So, why is training important in sports? Its important because it sets the level for what to expect.
The greater your training the greater you can expect to perform. And thats what Archilocus is saying. Make your training so good that when the moment comes, you can perform on demand and not magically expect to rise to an expectation you didnt train for.
Today’s episode of the podcast is motivational and i encourage you to upgrade your training.
Remember, knowing is not enough you must apply, willing is not enough you must do.
