Adversity is always a recurring theme in sports with young athletes asking the question, can i overcome adversity in sports? The answer is yes you can and our athlete on this episode is the great Novak Djokovic.
Novak Djokovic is one of the greatest tennis players of all time but even he had adversities he had to overcome to return to the top of the sport.
Between 2011 and 2016 Novak Djokovic was a dominant force in tennis. In that time frame he won 11 of 24 Grand Slam titles on offer which was unprecedented.
After he won the French Open in 2016 he stumbled and fell off track. Many thought he would never return to the top of the sport but he proved them wrong by winning the Wimbledon title where he beat Rafael Nadal in the semi final. His first grand slam in more than two years.
So, Novak Djokovic asked himself the question, can i overcome adversity, then he challenged himself and found his way. If you have asked yourself the same question before, can i overcome adversity in sports, this episode is for you.
You can overcome adversity in sports.
Remember, knowing is not enough you must apply, willing is not enough you must do.
